For Families like the Guppys, your donation offers a little relief from a life-long financial burden.

Autism is a lifelong disability. The financial burden of Autism on a family compounds as the years go by. Autistic children become Autistic adults. Yet many never leave home or get a job. Parents who planned to raise a child up to adulthood are caring for and supporting autistic adults. At the same time, they are struggling to find means to save for or even imagine their own retirement.

Families often crumble under this financial stress. Divorce rates soar as high as 80% among families with an Autistic member.

Families with Autistic teenagers and adults are often overlooked for financial support provided by many nonprofits serving the Autism community. These same families are more likely to be in financial or personal crisis.

Your donation makes a world of difference for these families. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. A grant from Autism Rescue Angels to cover the cost of care for a few hours can offer much-needed freedom and feel like a life-saver.

“Due to the complexity of our son’s autism and seizure disorder, he requires so many things. None of which are covered by insurance. So each paycheck we fight that same battle of so much of it going to those things, leaving little to nothing to save for his future care, to still pay for these things after retirement. It’s a never-ending burden and so when someone comes along and says, “Here, let me cover this month’s autism expenses” — you just have no idea. No idea how it feels to just for a moment, have that burden lifted. I am in tears writing this, mainly because there is no way I could put into words this emotion. When we received the financial assistance from Autism Rescue Angels, it was such a blessing.”
